Carters Lake, a couple miles from our cottage, is one of the best BIG fish lakes in Georgia - the only lake in Georgia that you have a real chance at catching a 30 pound striper, 15 pound Hybrid and a six lb spotted bass in the same day along with the occasional Walleye!

Kids and adults alike will enjoy a tube or kayak trip down the river to lazily ride down in an tube, or fight the waves in a kayak, for a fun day on the water

The Georgia Apple Festival is an annual festival in Ellijay, Georgia. The festival has been held every October since 1971 and offers handmade crafts, live music, and apples. An annual parade and antique car show are also held in conjunction with the festival.
